What are you doing this weekend?

Memphis really is a great place to live.  You can argue with me all you want, but it is.  There's always so much to do in Memphis.  Whether you're a music fan, golf fan, wrestling fan... whatever!  There's always something going on.

Let's take a look at this, shall we?

The home of the World Championship Bar-B-Que contest every year.  Memphis in May - the music, as well as the BBQ.  Wrestling, golf, Motorsports Park... where do you start?  How about this weekend?

Friday night, you have the Memphis Redbirds playing.  Who doesn't like to go to Autozone Park?  Now, I'm not a huge baseball fan or anything.  I really don't like the sport at all, to be honest with you.  But just being in the ballpark is an experience.  It's a great view from anywhere you sit and the ballpark has a personality for sure.  It's always good to go for at least five innings.  Eat, drink, hang out with your friends and get the heck out of there.

Saturday night, I'll be wrestling.  So, not much else to fit in there.  But for the others, I believe Jewel is in town for Live at the Garden.  I'd love to see Jewel.  Don't laugh!  I'm a huge Jewel fan and always have been.  You could do that, if you'd like.

Sunday, I'll enjoy a round of golf in the early morning... then, I'll head out to the Stanford St. Jude Championship at Southland.  I went last year and had a great time.  I expect this year to be even better because I'll know exactly what to expect.  The tournament is going on from Thursday til Sunday, so if you're interested in that instead of the other stuff, you could always go there.

Then, you have the TNA Wrestling pay-per-view Slammiversary on Sunday night.  And no, I will not be attending.  I have obviously been in contact with the company, but it's very hard to get a booking on a PPV.  If it was a house show, I'd say that I would probably be wrestling there.  But PPV wrestling is usually for contracted wrestlers only.

There's a big King of the Mountain match for that show.  I don't like main events that have so many guys involved that it's hard to keep up with.  Then, they have a special enforcer referee... so it makes it that much harder to keep track of.  I like for a Champion to be able to go head to head with the best and get over that way.  Why waste all those guys involved in just one match?  You could make many great singles matches and storylines out of it.  You place all your top guys in the last match, then where does that leave the rest of the card?

Maybe I'm wrong.  I like what I like, though.

So, what you are you doing this weekend?  If you see me out, come say hello.
