Lake Michigan = COLD WATER!

“It’s FREEZING in here!” I said, with my shirt glued to my stomach from the icy water ofLake Michigan. As my cargo shorts began to fall off from the weight of the water, I trudged my way to shore through the waist deep waves.
Sorry about that – my first-person narratives sometimes come out without warning!
My family and I arrived in Grand Haven, Michigan (on the shore of Lake Michigan) over the weekend.
So far, I’ve been to the lake three times, seen the second largest musical fountain in the world, and have just come back from fishing on the pier.
This is just day four of our month stay in the small but cozy town of Grand Haven. You can walk everywhere – to the lighthouse, the beach, and all the ice cream and hot dog stands in town.
I survived the car ride without Dramamine, so I guess I can cross that off my list of must-haves for road trips. I guess a 10-hour car trip isn’t that bad, if you are well prepared.
