I ran into the poet IQ on Friday night at the Alvin Youngblood Hart show at the Buccaneer, and he told me about a new weekly he's doing Tuesday nights at the Full Moon Club. Dubbed "Moonflower Lounge," this night will feature deejays, slam poets, MCs and an extended live jam session along the lines of the old Monday night all-star jams at Tap House (now Brookhaven Pub). It all gets started around 9:30 and will wrap up around 1 at first. I imagine that if the night takes off they could go till close.
