On the word "articulate" when used to describe an African-American individual. Exhibit A: Joe Biden, presidential wannabe and currently, shoe leather taster.

Biden said of fellow presidential wannabe Barack Obama: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."

This is troubling on many fronts, not the least of which is that Biden has forgotten about (read: is ignorant of) the other black presidential wannabes who would have fit that description - Shirley Chisholm most notably.

And does he think Jesse and Al are out of the mainstream? Please - they have baggage, but they also deserve their props. If I get beaten by the cops, call Al. If I'm taken hostage, please call Jesse, and with the quickness.
